Hi Everyone, I hope you are enjoying the sunshine! I was recording vocals yesterday and it was very warm in studio - but hopefully it will be worth it : ) Really delighted to have my song 'Untold Story' featured on TV3 during the week. Thanks to all for the kind words and emails I received. I am currently also writing some new material and this is going well. News with Drua, well the lads are tied up for a few weeks with college exams and music study but not to worry we will be back on the road again shortly. We are looking forward to performing in Athy Arts Centre in Co. Kildare and in Christchurch Cathedral Waterford among other performances. All the best for now. Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wanted to wish you a very happy new year. Thanks for all your support in 2010. It was a great musical year with many gigs and shows. I also started working on some recordings and I would like to thank Midlands Radio 3 for their support in playing some of my Christmas songs during the festive season and also new tracks recorded with my Irish band, Drua. Myself and the band enjoyed our gigs over the festive season and are currently taking a little break from live gigs while we are still busy organising the year ahead. We have a variety of projects in the pipeline and we hope to see you along the way. Keep an eye out here for more updates in the coming weeks. Thanks to all who took the time to send emails through my new website, I really appreciate your interest in our music and your kind words. I do endeavour to reply as soon as possible so do please feel free to drop us a line anytime, as the band and I love to hear from you all. I am looking forward to an exciting musical year in 2011. | Laois Music Connect One Album |

Hi Folks, This has been a busy month so far. I'm currently in studio and working on new recordings. They are coming together nicely. Emer Dunne & Drua, have a little of our version of the song 'Step it out Mary' on the player of our band page. Why not pop over and have a listen. I received the opportunity some months back to be part of the new Laois Music Connect Album, 'Connect One'. It features 19 local artists based in County Laois. It was launched last Thursday November 11th. Thanks to Mary Kavanagh, Fintan Kennedy, Mark Healy, all of the Laois Connect team and Laois Partnership for putting this album together. The album involved recording a track of original material by each artist involved. Today I found a review of the album online from Frank Parker .. "The genres on display range...from the purity of Emer Dunne's voice to the fast and furious electric fiddle of John Davidson....Emer is undoubtedly a singer song-writer with a bright future ahead of her. For this compilation she has recorded a self penned number called 'Breaking Me'." High praise indeed. See full review here I have to thank the musicians that I worked with on this track. They were Simon Graydon, a very skillful guitarist and the brilliant drummer Alan Ryan. They were both a pleasure to work with. The album is on sale in Anthem Music, Trax Record Store Portlaoise and Tower Records Dublin so get out and grab a copy and support local music. Hi Everyone, Still on a high after a very successful night for Emer Dunne & Drua in the Cobblestone Back Room, Dublin, last Saturday night, Oct 2nd. Thanks to Eoghan and Aoife Scott for opening the show for us with their lovely rendition of songs. We really appreciated all who came out to support us on the night. Now we are looking forward to an equally good show this coming Saturday night, October 9th. We are back in the Tullamore Court Hotel at 10pm. Hope you'll come along to join in the fun! I would also like to thank Claire O Brien from Encore programme on Midlands 103.5fm for having us live in studio last Thursday night. We had a great time in the studio chatting to Claire and playing a few tunes. Look forward to going back on the programme again in the future. Thanks to Jobo designs for the work on this website. At the moment I've been very busy with my Irish band, Drua, and we are looking forward to the next few weeks and the various gigs coming up. First up we are in the well known Irish music venue, the Cobblestone - The Back Room on Saturday October 2nd. Doors open at 8.30pm and tickets are €10. Opening Act for us on the night is the talented, Aoife Scott. On Saturday October 9th, we will be hitting the Tullamore Court Hotel and on the 23rd, Sheerans Bar in Coolrain, Laois. Looking forward to these gigs over the next few weeks and I hope you'll all be out to join in the fun with us! I've also been busy writing some new songs and material.
